Umbilical Cord Blood-Derived Natural Killer Cells
Invitra CBNK™ are minimally manipulated CD56+ natural killer cells derived from umbilical cord blood. Invitra CBNK™ is manufactured using a proprietary isolation and purification technologies.
Natural killer (NK) cells are a type of lymphocyte that has the ability to kill infected or cancerous cells. NK cells are characterized by the presence of CD56 cell surface marker. Umbilical cord blood is an ideal source for NK cells because it occupies a higher percentage of NK cells compared to peripheral blood. NK cells have the ability to kill a wide range of cancers and are a promising tool for both autologous and allogeneic applications.
